Lupe Aguilar

Hi, friends. I am Lupe Aguilar-Zamora. I am going into my third year at UCLA as a Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics major/Global Health minor. I am so blessed and extremely excited to serve as a liturgy student leader with my wonderful team Yesenia and Jenna.

I grew up in a small town named Planada right outside of Merced, CA. It is known as the Gateway of Yosemite National Park. I come from Mexican Heritage and am the youngest of 4 siblings. Born and raised in Merced County, I love the outdoors, crisp clean air, agriculture, and farm animals. A fun fact about me is besides having a cocker spaniel, I used to raise pigs and a duck.

On campus, I volunteer as a Eucharistic Minister in Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center through Bruins for Spiritual Care and have a work-study job.  For fun, I enjoy hiking and retail therapy.

The UCC has become my home away from home. I look forward to growing in our faith together.
