Hello! My full legal name is Madilaine Yazon Venzon, but you can just simply call me ‘Madi’. I am one of the Community Life Student Leaders at the University Catholic Center for the 2017-2018 school-year, along with my wonderful and beautiful co, Christine Castañon!
The UCC Community is very important to me, so I hope to welcome and embrace you all with love and warmth just as this community has done for me!
I was born and raised in the Long Beach area here in California as the first child of two Pilipino immigrants. I have one little sister whom I absolutely adore and consider as my own daughter.
As for the languages I speak, I am a native speaker of both Tagalog (Filipino) and English, so please feel free to speak to me in either!
I’m an English major, so naturally, my interests can largely be grouped under the idea of stories. I love reading, writing, listening, and watching stories whether they are found in literature, music, shows, movies, in my own head, or even people!
I look forward to how our stories will unravel and intertwine with each others’ in the near future!
At the UCC, you can typically find me running Student Dinners every Thursday night at 6pm or at any of the various community events that we put on throughout the year! You can also find me as a choir singer, cantor/psalmist, or instrumentalist during mass on Sundays!
I hope to see you around!
